Bidadari Park, Singapore

Bidadari Park is a 13-hectare urban sanctuary in the heart of Bidadari estate, masterfully designed by CPG Consultants, who have received multiple awards for their innovative integration of landscape, heritage, and water resilience. Opened in September 2024, the park features Alkaff Lake—a 1.8-hectare stormwater retention pond designed under PUB’s ABC Waters Programme—which not only safeguards the estate from flash floods but also provides a scenic and recreational focal point during dry weather.

Over 5 km of trails weave through lush, regenerated woodland and marshes, transforming the former cemetery into a thriving ecological haven that supports 146 bird species. Heritage elements, including interpretive storyboards and the upcoming Bidadari Memorial Garden, honour the area’s past, while vibrant spaces like Adventure Playwoods and community lawns bring life and activity to its present.

Bidadari Park exemplifies climate-adaptive urban design, where water-sensitive strategies, ecological restoration, and community engagement come together—earning CPG accolades and establishing the park as a national benchmark for sustainable and resilient placemaking.
